I think the others would be put out if you went through all that only to die from eating tainted meat. There's nothing else around you? I've been finding these peas everywhere.
If you are going to do this, cook them for as long as you can stand and have the healthiest person test it. If there is one.
We searched all day yesterday and didn't find anything edible apart from the berries and some mushrooms and I really don't trust any of us to be able to tell if those are poisonous.
Jet and Kokichi are... They're injured, but they're not sick, if that makes sense. Kokichi might be the least injured, but I'm worried about him and Jet both. Jet, especially. When the bear came, we had an argument about what to do and he ended up standing up to it while Kokichi and I played dead. God, we were lucky it just wanted our supplies and not us. It could have killed him in one swipe.
Yes, you're right, please do not eat unknown mushrooms!
[This is very emphatic, Eivor loves eating mystery mushrooms and either almost dying or having visions she claims make her stronger and/or able to teleport and it's stressful]
That was very brave. I'd imagine that Jet sees you two as “civilians” under his care. I am sorry that the animals here have not been quite what you've imagined.
It's okay! I'm sure we'll find the friendly ones soon.
[He might sound... just a little bit desperate there. It would be very nice to find some nice fluffy and friendly animals. That they might be forced to eat.]
Just- I think we just need to get out of the middle of the jungle. I'm sure the scariest things are here. But we'll make it. Jet really has been great, and even Kokichi's not as bad as he pretends he is. I think he's just been through a lot so he acts out. Or pretends to for attention... or a distraction. Some people are like that. Still feeling him out. Jet seems like he's a lot more straightforward.
[Hey, if he had a nice wolf like Mouse, she could hunt on his behalf]
Yes, animals often draw near to where there's water. An ideal place to hunt, but not so ideal for traversing with people who are injured.
I'm glad that good companions seem to have found you. [Martin seems so trusting and it does make her worried] Senku and K have done a great deal here to secure access to food and water, and I must admit it's a relief to no longer be alone. I don't know much about Zam but we will see when we meet her.
[Concerning. Martin had hoped they could follow the water for ease and... just to ensure there's water close by. The thought of not knowing where his next drink is going to come from has become a deep and abiding fear, something far more intense than his worries over food.]
I haven't talked to her, yet. Hope all goes well. We're lucky, I guess that most people seem pretty okay. Or at least we're all on our best behavior when we're relying on each other, right? Only way to survive.
[He'll keep telling himself that any time being around Jet or Kokichi makes him want to crawl out of his skin. Any time he can't stop picturing Jon in his arms, bloody and covered in strands of tape. Dying.]
Yes. That's why hospitality is so important: no one can survive alone in harsh conditions.
I am concerned about some of the conflicts I’ve seen over the radio, but all I can do is try and keep it out of the village. Ideally everyone will be safe there.
Yeah, there are some... strong personalities going on.
[Which is about as diplomatically as he can put it. There are also teenagers, which seems to be a big part of Kokichi's issues.]
But everyone's stressed and we're all still figuring out just how to survive. M-maybe once we all have food and water for sure, people will calm down a little bit?
I'm not sure they want to be that. But-but it's probably worrying that if they let someone else lead, then they'll lose out somehow? It's silly. People sometimes worry about things like that, though. Especially if they're used to being in charge or important.
I guess I'm lucky there. Not... really a problem for me.
[One of the few things that had united everyone was trying to save him]
But you may be right. This is an unsettling situation for us all, and none of us know one another. I think it's important to control any threats of violence, at least in the village, so that the conflicts don't prevent anyone from seeking help when they need it.
That-that's really nice of you to say, Randvi. I just mean I don't really care about being in charge. That's all.
I agree about keeping violence out of the village we're building, though. That's going to be important. No sense fighting each other when we already have the world against us here. And talking of the world against us. I, um... I should probably start working on stuff for today again. Thanks for your help.

How are the people you're with getting on?
No worries! Glad you can rest soon lol
