The others who were with her are unharmed. They said it was as if she was with them one moment then gone the next. I've advised them to return.

They looked. They located supplies that she had been carrying, but no tracks or other evidence of a struggle, and no body.

She was travelling with an experienced scout on a predetermined route, to learn survival skills. I do not believe that he would have lost her or lied to me about it.

Less than a day out from the village. Not north. We chose the route for as much safety as it's possible to attempt in these situations.

They searched the immediate area and found nothing. I told them to return. I don't think she's out there anymore.

Yes, and if they had been carrying out an actual mission, the other two could continue it. The other young person travelling with them has someone to guide him back.
